ARE 1997 Poster

It’s always a real pleasure when your school alumni at the EHL reach out to you – in need of an illustration, especially since it’s been over 20 years. Means you’re still at it – and the sense of appreciation is there.

My friends down at the ARE97 – old boys’ rugby association of the hotel school (https://are1997.ch/), born from the values of friendship, family, respect, and authenticity, the ARE 1997 was created in memory of Nini and Peter Barakat – which was a very present and active figure back from when I was at school.

So, I got to work drumming up the poster and give-away for the event, my signature “bash-out brawlin’ showdown” layout – something that I get a real kick out of illustrating and fit it in from time-to-time in my feed – its one of those free flow drawings that will take me several nights to layout – ink and then with ecoline, put out the colors. Its pure fun.

Here is to the next one in 20 years 😊
