Manga Movement
August 14, 2021The use of fast lines, that blur the action comes straight from manga culture – and in fact is a slippery slope. Excessively used, and either you lose the focus of the action, or it weights down the entire composition. Sparely used, and you see a simple object or a body movement spring to life.
I am quite inclined to using it when needed, and when working with the Tachikawa Quill – G Nib – you can really get a fantastic effect. It needs to be said – the ink abuse you can put through a G Nib is remarkable.
I use standard ink pens like Copic and others – but give the quill a go – its like back at school trying, really trying, to write cursive – except slightly on the wild side 😊
