The blackness of white

Moving from colours to black and white, or simply executing a picture in a single tone of colour watered down is such a pleasing exercise. In fact, if forces you out of your trenches and makes you face the fact that you will only reach the desired effect in tones of grey or blue or simple black lines.

A couple of the series recently have gone back to this – testing yourself to see if the depth and message is there when you dwell on a single tone.
